Our Story

Back in 2012 when Pastor Jeremy was pastoring in Shorewood, IL and on a prayer walk, he had a vision of a picture of Jesus being "traced" by a hand and immediately thought of "tracing our lives" after Jesus.  He then went inside and began to journal this idea of a people who followed Jesus in this way.  The Bible says in John 1:14 and vs. 17 that Jesus was full of grace and truth.  Trace is a combination of the words truth & grace.  If Jesus was full of both truth and grace at the same time, then His followers must also strive to live that way!  This vision of a church body came to fruition 5 years later in 2017 when God called Jeremy back to his hometown of Mattoon and the church was started on October 29, 2017.

Each member of Truth & Grace Fellowship is responsible and expected to expand the vision by living out a life full of both truth and grace as they "trace their lives" after Jesus everywhere they go!

We will continue to develop and build a culture of healthy spiritual growth by focussing on these areas:
1.  Prayer & Fasting
2.  Sharing the gospel (evangelism) anywhere and everywhere we go
3.  Disciple-Making:  Helping others to follow Jesus, to be changed by Jesus, and to equip them to be on mission with Jesus

Healthy things naturally grow.  When we choose to be spiritually healthy, we will supernaturally grow!
